What we know about you, and why.
We collect what an order needs and very little else. This page sets out exactly what that is, who else sees it, and how to get it back or have it deleted.

Who we are
BIOMEWARD sells a daily prebiotic fibre supplement to customers in Australia. We handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. You can reach us at [email protected] about anything on this page.
What we collect
- Order details. Your name, email address, delivery address and phone number, so the order can be packed and delivered.
- Payment details. Card payments are processed by Shopify Payments and other payment providers. We see that a payment succeeded and the last few digits of the card. We never receive or store your full card number.
- Email sign-ups. Your email address if you join the list, until you unsubscribe.
- Site usage. Pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
- Messages. Whatever you choose to tell us when you email or send us a message on social media.
We do not ask for health information, and we would rather you did not send it. If you mention a health condition when contacting us, we use it only to answer you and delete it once the conversation is closed.
Why we collect it
To take and deliver orders, handle returns and refunds, answer questions, send marketing emails you have asked for, measure which advertising works, keep the site secure, and meet our tax and consumer law obligations.
Who we share it with
- Shopify, which runs our store, checkout and customer accounts.
- Amazon, through Multi-Channel Fulfilment, which receives your name and delivery address in order to pick, pack and ship your order.
- Delivery carriers, which receive the address label and your contact details for delivery updates.
- Payment providers, which process the transaction and screen it for fraud.
- Meta and TikTok, which receive advertising and analytics signals when you visit the site, so we can measure campaigns. You can limit this in your browser and in your ad settings on each platform.
- Shopify Collabs, which records that an order came through a creator's link or code, so that creator can be paid. The creator sees the sale, not your identity.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not trade mailing lists.
Information sent overseas
Shopify, Amazon, Meta and TikTok store and process data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. By ordering from us you accept that your information is handled in those countries under their privacy frameworks, which may differ from Australian law.
Cookies
The site uses cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences and measure advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them will break checkout.
How long we keep it
Order and tax records are kept for seven years, because Australian tax law requires it. Marketing email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Site analytics are kept for up to twenty-six months.
Getting a copy, a correction or a deletion
Email [email protected] and we will respond within thirty days. We can send you a copy of what we hold, correct anything wrong, and delete what we are not legally required to keep. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so we are not handing your details to someone else.
Security
Payments and the site run over encrypted connections, and access to customer records is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so if a breach happens that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
Complaints
Tell us first at [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
